A no go for the Motorcycle Roadshow!

2020 has been damning year for the events industry and unfortunately for bikers, the motorcycle industry has not been exempt.

As the world has been heavily impacted by the Coronavirus, the annual UK Motorcycle Roadshow Motorcycle Live was swiftly cancelled in a bid to stop its spread.

I was pretty gutted about this as I love nothing more than an excuse to meet up with my biker mates, walk around the vast halls dribbling over the exotica, trying bikes out for size, meeting motorcycling legends from BSB riders, TT riders, flat tracking world champions and many other motorcycling icons that gather at the show.

Motorcycle live and their sponsors however, where determined to adapt and overcome and managed to bring the show to us virtually- from the comfort of our living rooms.

They went online using their website to reveal new bikes, run a host of competitions and provide bargains hungry bikers with discount codes so they could still grab a deal!

It was a brilliant effort to help feed our hunger for all things motorcycle however, for me – you just can’t beat arriving in person at the huge, awe inspiring venue that is the NEC in Birmingham.

I have travelled to the Motorcycle Live event in a variety of ways before, ranging from motorbike and train as well as by car. Next time, I might see if the girls would be up for a Roadshow Chauffeur so we can arrive in style and have room to load up all our bargains in the boot on the way home!
